Psychologists
ACCESS Psychology is a Port Perry psychology practice focused on child and adolescent mental health. Its team of professional therapists offers a holistic approach to developing healthy minds, healthy bodies and healthy relationships, helping kids, teens and their families cope with life's obstacles and reach their full potential. Assessment services include psychoeducational and behavioural assessments to identify learning difficulties, attention and behavioural concerns linked to ADHD, and social-communication difficulties linked to autism spectrum disorders, with recommendations for home and school programming. Therapy addresses anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behaviour issues, adjustment to separation or divorce, blended families, grief, bullying, social skill development, body image and eating concerns, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The first appointment is an intake session of up to 90 minutes; follow-up sessions are 50 minutes. No doctor's referral is usually required, and most private health insurance plans cover at least a portion of psychological services.
